  • Much of the top of Mission Hill, originally known as Parker Hill, was an apple orchard managed by the Parker Family

  • Triple deckers, Mission Hill's most recognizable housing type, began to populate the hill towards the end of the 19th century

  • The Mission Hill Triangle Architectural Conservation District consists of 71 buildings in the triangular area borded by Huntington Avenue and Tremont and Worthington streets

  • The Mission Church (officially the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help) was constructed from 1876 to 1878 and was patronized by many of the German immigrants who worked in the breweries surrounding the Hill
